Jan Thedor DE BRY (Liege 1561 - Frankfurt 1623) "The Golden Age" (the Golden Age) Original etching signed in the cartouche at the bottom center "Johan Theodore de Bry excudebat" and dated 1608 in the right end of the one above, from a subject by Abraham Bloemaert. Beautiful specimen in the rare first state of two, printed on a portion of thin laid paper bearing an unidentified watermark, complete with both framing lines, slightly burnished uniformly, with slight traces of an old bonding and a vertical fold visible only on the back, overall in excellent general condition.
